Supervisors 9.25.2017

San Luis Obispo county supervisors will receive their annual report for the public facilities fees program. They’ll also get an update on agreements for fire protection services within the unincorporated areas of the county. Those protected by cal fire.

The supervisors meet tomorrow morning at the county government center in San Luis Obispo.

Several hundred north county residents and a few from the south county attended an informational meeting in Atascadero Saturday to discuss opposition to governor Brown’s new gas tax. Assemblyman Travis Allen of Huntington Beach is leading the campaign to repeal the gas tax. Assemblyman Allen is also running for governor on the republican ticket.

Prison Riot at CMC 9.25.2017

A prison riot at the California Men’s Colony yesterday left one inmate dead and nine injured. About 160 inmates were involved in the riot. No prison workers were injured.
