San Luis Obispo county supervisor Adam Hill says he suffers from depression. He says he is going to step back from some of his duties on the board.
He writes in an email statement to a local daily newspaper,
“I’ll be taking some time to reflect on repairing my relationships with people i love and associate with. I need to be more effective in accepting and responding to all our human faults, mine most especially.”
He attacked one of his constituents, Mark Burnes, after Burnes wrote a letter to a local paper about an op-ed piece by Andrea Seastrand. Mark Burnes says Adam Hill is lacking in decorum. Burnes says he feels those living in Hill’s district should initiate steps to remove the supervisor..A Recall.
Supervisor Hill says his depression is debilitating and says he will step back from his duties. He does not say if he will attend the board meeting next week. Hill did not attend the last meeting, during which supervisors asked staff to develop a code of governance to regulate how supervisors communicate with their constituents and county residents.
