This week, the California public utilities commission will hold two public hearings for the proposal to close the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant. The hearings will be conducted Thursday at the Ludwick Community Center on Santa Rosa in San Luis Obispo. That’s the old USO building at Santa Rosa and Mill streets in San Luis Obispo. The hearings will be held at 1:30 and 7 pm.
No official action will be taken at the hearings, but public comments will be taken into consideration by the CPUC.
PG and E announced plans to close the power plant last year.
It will be completely shut down by 2025.
