Backlash from the recent vote on water districts in the north county.
Supervisor Lynn Compton tells KPRL why she voted against the proposed water districts. Compton says she felt that many in the north county opposed the water districts. Compton says she could not turn her back on the majority who opposed giving a small group so much say over the groundwater, now, there’s a backlash.
Supervisor Bruce Gibson is calling those who supported the water districts, asking them to contribute to the campaign of Jimmy Paulding, the south candidate who is challenging supervisor Lynn Compton. Paulding has no experience, and no track record. Gibson is asking for north county money from the wealthy landowners to defeat Compton in the supervisorial election.
