13 illegal immigrants arrested off the coast of La Jolla in a panga style open boat.
They were taken into custody Saturday morning. San Diego lifeguards intercepted the boat in the surf and towed it a little further out to see for the safety of those illegals on board the panga boat. The US coast guard got a report shortly before seven that the board appeared disabled.
The boat had a motor, but the illegals were using oars, trying to row to shore from about one half mile out. They were taken into custody.
