Are we in for another March miracle?
This season has created drought conditions in the north county, but forecasters say we’ll get more rain beginning tomorrow, March first.
Lake Nacimiento is down to 40% of capacity. Last year at this time, it was at 96%. San Antonio and Santa Margarita lakes have also receded dramatically this season due to the lack of rainfall. So far, rain totals for the season are about one quarter the season average.
The good news..RAIN is on the way! A 90% chance of rain tomorrow, decreasing to 50% Friday. Any rain will help address the severe drought conditions declared by the US drought monitor.
For those living outdoors, there’s a warming station today at Covenant Presbyterian Church and Golden Hill road in Paso Robles.
Tomorrow a warming station will be provided by Life Community Church in Templeton.
