Cal Fire announced that for the week of April 29th, two prescribed vegetation burns will be taking place in San Luis Obispo county.
The first burn will be the Yaro burn, taking place near Park Hill, west of Black Mountain near the Turkey Flat OHV area. This burn will be taking place in the first half of this week.
The second burn will take place in the middle to end of this week: the Whitney prescribed burn will be another area of Park Hill, west of Black Mountain.
Both burns will go through a combined 440 acres of brush. Burns are expected to begin at 9:45 am and conclude by 6 pm. Smoke may be visible in the Santa Margarita and Park Hill area.
