Former Mission Prep runner Jordan Hasay finished third in the Boston Marathon yesterday. It was her first marathon and she set a new American record.
The former Oregon runner dedicated the race to her later mother. Teresa Hasay died unexpectedly back in November.

Phillips 66 will not appeal County Supervisors rejection of their proposal to build a rail spur to transport crude oil to their Nipomo refinery, but they explore a legal reversal of that decision.
