Because of the potential for high winds, 20,000 southern California Edison customers in Santa Barbara county may have their power shut off if fire risk increases. This includes: Santa Barbara, Goleta, Carpinteria, Mission Canyon, highway 154 and unincorporated areas of the county, including Cold Springs Canyon, Gaviota, Jalama Beach, El Capitan Park, Summerland and Montecito.
