An accident involving an adult bicyclist closed the north end of Spring street in Paso Robles for about an hour yesterday afternoon. Sgt. One sad note this morning. Former Paso Robles city councilman Ed Steinbeck died recently after a battle with Parkinson’s disease. Steinbeck served four years on the Paso Robles planning commission before serving on the city council. Steinbeck died earlier this month in Indianapolis, where he lived with his daughter and her family.
Congress is expected to work this week, then they take a vacation. Most will not return until after election day November 3rd. The senate will return next month, however, to consider the president’s nominee for the US supreme court, Judge Amy Coney Barrett. Barrett once clerked for Justice Antonin Scalia, which raises some interesting ironies.…
