Vandenberg Air Force base is getting a new name. It’s going to be called, Vandenberg Space Force Base.
They don’t know when the new name will become official. The US Space Force became the sixth branch of the military under President Donald Trump, and that is the inspiration for the name.
Many Space Force enlistees are already stationed at Vandenberg.
