After a nationwide search, the city of Paso Robles hired Damian Nord to be the new police chief, to take over for Ty Lewis, who was promoted to city manager.
Chief Nord says he loves Paso Robles. He previously worked for the Paso Robles police department. He was an officer for about a year, and sergeant Ty Lewis was his supervisor. Now, he’s the new Paso Robles police chief, and Ty Lewis is the Paso Robles city manager.
Incidentally, the Paso Robles city council will hold its next meeting one week from tomorrow, January 18th at the library conference room. That will be the first meeting of the new calendar year. That will be a hybrid meeting.
