A fire yesterday afternoon at Union bank on El Camino Real in Atascadero.
Fire crews found heavy smoke emanating from the roof near the back corner of the building. Three employees were evacuated from the building. They were not aware of the emergency.
Fire crews used the ladder truck to access the roof and extinguish the fire. It was contained within 25 minutes.
No injuries reported. The cause remains under investigation.
