Paso Robles city council meets tomorrow night.
Two weeks ago, they approved plans to lay the groundwork for cannabis retail stores to manifest in Paso Robles. A representative of HDL, a cannabis compliance company talked to the council outlining the process leading to the opening of retail stores.
City manager Ty Lewis got more specific about the timetable. He says community members will begin in August. The council may adopt a plan by early next year.
Fred Strong made the motion to move forward with the process outlined by the city manager, Ty Lewis.
Not all the council members like the plan. Councilman John Hamon voicing his opposition. He voted against the motion.
So, community members will occur later this month to get the process started, leading to retail pot stores opening in Paso Robles next year.
