In Atascadero on Sunday, a juvenile was arrested after shooting another juvenile.
Early Sunday morning, Atascadero police went to the 9100 block of Las Lomas avenue after a young woman reported receiving threatening messages from her ex-boyfriend. The police searched the area, but could not find the suspect. Officers heard a number of shots being fired in the area. They spotted two juvenile suspects, but they fled on foot. Eventually one of the two surrendered.
Police also received a report of a victim with gunshot wounds being treated in the emergency room at Twin Cities hospital. The victim said he had been shot while sitting in a vehicle near the Las Lomas avenue residence after visiting there.
The juvenile suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempted homicide. He was placed in the custody of juvenile services.
