The federal nuclear regulatory commission has accepted PG&E’s license renewal application to extend operations at Diablo Canyon. PG&E can now continue operating at the plant while the license renewal is under review. This comes after the California public utility commission voted to extend Diablo Canyon’s operating dates until 2030.
