More than 4,250 gallons of sewage were released in the ocean near Avila Beach on New Year’s Eve. That was caused by a sewage line blockage. The spill started around 5 Saturday afternoon and was stopped at 6:25. Part of Avila Beach was closed on New Year’s day because of that sewage leak.

Despite the rain Saturday, a big turn out for the Stacie Strong Golf Tournament at the Links golf course. Paso Robles city council meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month, but not tonight. Tonight’s scheduled city council meeting canceled because of the three day weekend. Next meeting is scheduled for January 17th, which also follows a three day weekend.
