Paso Robles city council discussed the Beechwood development last night, just over 900 homes proposed for an area near Virginia Peterson school.
The public comment on the Beechwood Project focused on two major concerns, water and traffic. Mayor Steve Martin explained the difference between surface water and ground water, then the council unanimously voted to move forward on the environmental impact report for the Beechwood development.
The Beechwood development calling for up to 911 new homes near Creston and Beechwood roads. The environmental impact report will address the impacts that project would have on traffic, water usage, emergency and police protection on the east side, and schools. Tax payers may have to pay for a new, larger elementary school, and another fire station.
