The levee along Arroyo Grande creek sustained severe damage during the winter storms earlier this year.
State assemblywoman Dawn Addis has recently helped secure a state fund of 1.24 million dollars to assist in repairs for the levee. The fund is a part of California’s 2023-24 state budget.
County officials say the projected cost to fully repair the levee system is around 20 million dollars.
