The Paso Robles city council says it’s seeking church leaders of all denominations and faith-based organizations for invocations at the beginning of city council meetings.
The city says it has always opened its meetings with a brief prayer and the supreme court ruling. The city says it would like to see more local churches, temples, and synagogues participate and “bring their own brand of spirituality” to each meeting, taking turns in leading the invocation.
