An unidentified man survived a horrific single car crash late Friday or early Saturday after his car left northbound 101 near the south Spring street exit.
The car left the road and rolled down the hillside. It ultimately landed on the railroad tracks.
Emergency officials were contacted around 6:30 Saturday morning. The man was rescued from the car and transported by ambulance to a local hospital. He told his rescuers that he spent the night in the car waiting for help, but was unable to call anyone.
A tow truck removed the vehicle from the railroad tracks. Fortunately, no train came through Paso Robles late Friday night or early Saturday morning.
