The death toll from the Camp fire near Chico now up to 31, but more than 200 people are still missing.
The death toll surpassed the previous worst mass-casualty Wildland fire in California history, the Griffith fire in Los Angeles in 1933. The fire which destroyed most of the town of Paradise surpassed the Oakland Hills Tunnel fire in 1991 which caused 25 deaths.
The search for more bodies continues in Paradise. We’ll have an update on that fire coming up in California news.
