California water officials are saying that drought looms over the state, particularly the central valley. That’s after a measurement of Sierra Nevada snow pack yesterday.
The measurement confirming that the state has suffered through a dry winter. The snow was 1.5 inches deep at its traditional measuring spot at Phillips Station, just off highway 50 year Echo Summit. The depth is about 3% of average for this time of year.
