A driver in San Luis Obispo hit a fire hydrant early Sunday morning at around 12:40 am.
The crash occurred at the intersection of California Boulevard and Hathway Avenue, and caused water to spew out of the hydrant. The San Luis Obispo police department said that the driver was not on the scene after they arrived, but was found on the Cal Poly campus, and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
There were no injuries reported from the crash, and San Luis Obispo police Sgt Jeff Booth said the hydrant was repaired quickly.
