The investigation continues into the shooting at the Oceano Dunes early on the morning of Cinco de Mayo.
19-year-old Francisco Orozco of Oakland remains in custody. Last week, superior court judge Dodie Harmon raised the bail to one million dollars. Francisco Orozco faces attempted murder charges as well as five felony charges of assault with a semi-automatic firearm.
If he’s convicted, he faces up to life in prison.
In San Luis superior court yesterday, Orozco told the judge he needs time to hire a private attorney before entering a plea. San Luis Obispo county district attorney Dan Dow says the county is trying to reach out to help those traumatized by the shooting incident. Arraignment for 19-year-old Francisco Orozco was postpones last week so he could hire an attorney.
