The city of Paso Robles, in partnership with the Paso Robles Rec Foundation, will host a grand opening for the new pump track at Barney Schwartz park this Saturday, April 27th from 10 am to noon.
The pump track first broke ground back in September of last year, and is the only one of its kind in Paso Robles and all of San Luis Obispo county.
Designed by California Skateparks, funding for the pump track was provided by the Rec Foundation through the Dale Schwartz Memorial Endowment Fund.
The celebration for the pump track will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, an opportunity for attendees to test out the beginner and intermediate tracks, and free activities including a bike safety booth, and a chance to win a BMX bike.
