A 62-year-old man was rescued by helicopter from Bishops Peak in San Luis after he fell near the top of the mountain and inured himself.
Just before noon yesterday, the man was near the top when he fell 15-20 feet. When first responders arrived, the unidentified man was sitting up and was conscious. He had abrasions on his face, arms and legs. He also complained of severe hip pain.
A CHP helicopter airlifted him from the top of the mountain to an ambulance. Then he was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis.
