So, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt will play today and tomorrow in Omaha. If they split those games, they’ll play a decisive game on Wednesday.
A few years ago, Alex Detz of San Luis Obispo and Mission College Prep played for Mississippi State. He graduated in 2014 after a stellar career at Cuesta and Mississippi State.
In 2013, Alex played in the college world series championship series against UCLA in 2013, which the Bruins won. Last word, Alex was selling pumps and irrigation for a firm based in Paso Robles.
Former Paso Robles and county schools superintendent Julian Crocker graduated from Vanderbilt. So, he’ll be rooting for the Commodores this week.
