There is more water on the moon than thought previously. NASA says two recent studies detected the presence of molecular water molecules on the sunlit surface of the moon.
Previously NASA speculated that most of the water was on the dark side of the moon. The study indicates water as a resource may be available if astronauts fly there again for an extended stay.
Space exploration de-funded by president Barack Obama, but it may return some day, or it may be a private enterprise.
