The US supreme court will hear arguments today from the Navajo Nation over water rights to the Colorado river.
The tribe contends that a treaty signed in 1868 promised the land and water sufficient for the Navajos to return to a permanent home in thier ancestral territory.
More than 305 of the reservation lacks running water.
Water is hauled from miles away.
