Caltrans announced yesterday that the northbound US 101 Camp Roberts rest area has reopened to the public.
The facility has gone through extensive renovations and upgrades, including a complete replacement of the wastewater treatment system and major upgrades to its electrical system.
Work began on this project in May of 2021, but Caltrans says significant delays in material availability and fabrication of customized equipment have contributed to the lengthy construction closure.
Both the northbound and southbound rest areas are now open.
