Two Santa Maria residents arrested after San Luis Obispo county sheriff’s deputies found them in possession of two firearms and large quantities of narcotics. That occurred during a routine traffic stop Friday. 40-year-old Salvador Pompa and 34-year-old Jessika Zepeda arrested on multiple drug and weapons charges.
In Arroyo Grande a police officer was struck by a car while responding to a domestic disturbance call on Thursday. When officers arrived at a parking lot on East Grand avenue, the Santa Maria woman attempted to flee in a car, and “intentionally struck an officer with the vehicle before leaving the scene.” Laura Lee Millar was located a short time later in Buellton, and taken into custody. She was booked at the county jail. The officer was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.
