Atascadero Boy Scout Troop 51 gathered hygiene products from local donors and created more than 30 hygiene kits for ECHO homeless shelter. The hygiene kits include socks, underwear toothbrushes, shampoo and other essential products. The scouts presented the hygiene kits to ECHO yesterday afternoon.
There’s a critical need for blood on the central coast. Three county hospitals are doing blood drives in this month to try to restock the reserves of blood supplies. Next Tuesday, April 13th, French Hospital Medical Center in San Luis will conduct a blood drive in San Luis. And on April 28th, Arroyo Grande Community Hospital will conduct a blood drive. You may also give blood at Vitilant, the blood donation center in San Luis on Broad street near the intersection with Tank Farm road.
