The Paso Robles police department announced yesterday that the California office of traffic safety awarded them with a 71 thousand dollar grant.
The department says the grant will support enforcement and education programs to help reduce the number of serious injuries and deaths on our roads. These include: DUI checkpoints, high-visibility distracted driving enforcement operations, community presentations on traffic safety issues, and more.
The grant program will run through September 2024.
