During its planned DUI checkpoint on December 15th, the Paso Robles police department says they arrested one driver on suspicion of DUI.
First-time DUI charges are an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties and a suspended license. The department says they also cited 19 individuals for driving unlicensed.
Funding for the DUI checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California office of traffic safety.
