A ribbon cutting and open house at the new, 22-million dollar, Glen Speck elementary school.
The school will accommodate 700 kids in kindergarten through fifth grade.
The architect was Sim-PBK, an architect out of Fresno. That firm was hired by superintendent Chris Williams.
To free up more money for his aquatic complex, Chris Williams removed the multi-purpose room from the design. So, the old multi-purpose room will be renovated at a cost of $5-6 million dollars. That will bring the cost of the new Glen Speck school close to $27-28 million dollars, so far.
