Although he was not charged in the case, Paul Flores was investigated by Redondo Beach police for allegations he raped a woman 14 years ago in that city.
A woman had no memory of what occurred. Police uploaded a DNA profile and it matched the name Paul Ruben Flores.
Flores was not charged, but now faces murder charges in the disappearance of Kristin Smart.
