Yesterday afternoon, a pedestrian was struck by an Amtrak train near the dead end of Industrial Way.
The San Luis Obispo police department responded to the incident and investigated. According to the department, the pedestrian was walking near the tracks when he was struck by the train, and tragically killed.
The victim is a white male in his early 20s, and investigators are working to identify him and determine the circumstances of the collision.
