Another protest held yesterday in San Luis Obispo. The peaceful protest at Mission Plaza promoted the Juneteenth holiday. June 19th is the date slaves in Texas first learned of the emancipation proclamation. They first learned that had been freed as slaves.
We’ll have more tomorrow on Juneteenth, which is recognized as a state holiday, ceremonial holiday or day of observance in 47 of the 50 states.
