The San Luis Obispo county district attorney’s office is warning people of a new real estate scam in the county.
A sharp increase reported of real estate fraud. The scam is associated with the sale of vacant land and unencumbered property.
The scammers pose as property owners, and negotiate sales of vacant land and lien free properties through a series of personations. It’s occurred multiple times since mid April.
