A ribbon cutting late last week at Almond Acres Academy, the charger school for kindergarten through 8th grade located on Niblick road near Creston road in Paso Robles.
Facilities manager Leo Castillo says there is a waiting list to get in to Almond Acres. The list is longer for middle school students, perhaps due to all the issues at Lewis middle school.
He says next year Almond Acres is adding another eighth grade, so there will be more room for eighth grade students next year.
