A sewage back-up forced closure yesterday of the preschool classroom at the new portable campus of Bauer Speck elementary school in Paso Robles.
Preschool students were sent home yesterday. Heavy usage of the bathrooms at War Memorial stadium during Friday’s football game may have overloaded the sewer system. The cause of the back-up was a crushed sewer line. The result was sewage waste in one of the portables, room 26.
Servpro arrived Saturday morning and remains on the scene cleaning up the mess. The clean up will take two weeks.
Yesterday, preschool teachers moved classroom equipment back to the old Bauer Speck campus where they will conduct class while the new portable at Flamson is cleaned up.
