The California Mid State Fair opens tomorrow. For young people who show animals at the fair, it’s going to be a big change over last year. Kelly Hopkins is president of the Future Farmers of America at Paso Robles high school. She says last year was disappointing. Many fairs operated virtually, if they operated at all.
Tiffany Santoro is a freshman at Paso Robles high school. She’s showing a pig at the fair this year. Her animal is at Paso Robles high school. Right now, she’s trying to keep the pig cool in this hot weather.
Tiffany is a freshman, but she’s shown animals before. She previously showed a pig at the Chowchilla fair. Her family moved to Paso Robles five years ago. Tiffany Santoro has a 4.5 GPA. She wants to be a vet. She says she’s concerned about this hot weather today and tomorrow in the north county.
The auction is July 31st. If you register as a buyer, you get free tickets to the fair the day of the auction.
