Earlier this week, a 15-year-old in San Luis Obispo stole a vehicle near the 800 block of Pismo street.
The police department released a statement of the incident yesterday, saying they received the report early Tuesday morning. Several hours later, the police department also received a report that a bicyclist had been hit by a car that matched the description of the stolen vehicle.
Officers dispatched to the call saw the vehicle driving on Monterey near Johnson. The driver and passenger abandoned the car and ran. The teenage driver was eventually located on the 1100 block of Pismo street and detained. He was arrested and booked into the San Luis Obispo county juvenile hall.
The bicyclist struck by the car was reported to not be injured.
