More than 5,000 PG and E customers in the north county lost power Saturday night. Those PG and E crews had to work through the wind and rain to restore power. Roads closed in some areas because of downed trees and power lines.
Around 6 early Sunday morning, the Paso Robles police department rescued a homeless man camping in the Salinas riverbed about a mile north of 13th street bridge.

A fatal crash occurred on highway 41 between Atascadero and Morro Bay. A 16-year-old Atascadero boy was killed in a drunk driving crash Saturday afternoon. 19-year-old Orion Messina told the CHP that he lost control of his car on a curve near Bear Ridge road. He was arrested.
