The county air pollution control district is currently recruiting for four of its vacant positions: attorney member, attorney alternate, a public alternate, and engineer alternate.
The APCD says that the attorney members and alternates must be admitted to the practice of law in California, and the engineering alternate must be a registered professional engineer.
The APCD is a quasi-judicial body that hears requests from regulated industry for a variance from rules, requests for orders of abatement concerning quality issues, and other areas of jurisdiction set by the state health and safety code.
Applications for these positions are being accepted May 1st to the 24th. Consideration of this matter by the APCD board of directors will occur on the June 19th meeting, where applications are encouraged to attend to address the board.
