One sad note this morning… Actor Howard Hesseman died Saturday in Los Angeles. Hesseman is best known for his portrayal of Johnny Fever on “WKRP in Cincinnati.” Howard Hesseman died Saturday in Los Angeles from complications following colon surgery. Howard Hesseman was 81-years-old.

Partly because of covid, the blood supply at San Luis Obispo hospitals is running short. Laura Kamada of Vitalant says the local blood bank is at a two-year low. She says they’re asking for donations of all blood types.
On Friday, the San Luis Obispo county health department reported nine people with covid recently died. That brings the total for the past two years to 3978. The deaths range from people in their 40s to their 90’s. The department does not report what other health issues those people suffered from.
The Colorado fire continues to burn in Big Sur. The fire is now 95% contained. That’s as of six last night. It’s burned 687 acres over the past nine days. Highway one remains open through Big Sur.
