The Paso Robles Professional Firefighters Union will be holding its 4th annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb event at the Paso Robles event center this year.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of 9/11; participants will climb the equivalent of the 110 stories of the world trade center to honor the 343 firefighters, 60 law enforcement officers, 8 EMS personnel, and nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost that day. Attendees can participate in the climb, or simply be at the event to support. This year will feature an honor guard ceremony and expanded community participation.
Donations and sponsorships are also still available; proceeds will benefit the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation’s Champ Camp, a summer camp experience for child burn survivors. Last year, more than $4,000 was raised. To sponsor, contact Dustin Virgil at (805) 423 – 3168.
