The year of the covid has taken its toll on north county students, including athletes.
At Templeton high school, the football team met at 6:30 each morning to work out and practice outside in the cold. Coach Don Crow says two of his star players of offense set an example to the team. Quarterback Tyler Kaschevsky and running back Josh Berna.
Coach Don Crow calls Tyler Kaschevsky and Josh Berna special athletes. Berna is also an excellent student. He’s taking nothing but AP classes and he’s getting straight A’s which gives him a 5.90 GPA. He’s already received on academic scholarship offer. He intends to study engineering.
Coach Crow says he’s also been pleased with Kale Loppnow stepping up and giving the offense another dangerous weapon as a receiver and running back.
The Eagles preparing today to take on St. Joseph Friday night in Santa Maria. Both teams are undefeated.
