A structure fire in Atascadero. Firefighters responding around 9:45 Friday evening to 125 El Camino Real.
A mobile home caught fire but all the occupants were able to get out.
Six fire engines responded as well as an ambulance, a command vehicle and 3 police officers.
Due to high heat and heavy smoke conditions, the fire crews had difficulty reaching the seat of the fire. One occupant was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. Unfortunately, two cats died in the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
